The safety and well-being of our guests is our number one priority

We have signed up for & passed Airbnb's Enhanced Cleaning Regime 

We have installed a 'no-touch' hand sanitiser station at the entrance / exit to thescretbnb, and provide

our Guests with complimentary face masks, disposable gloves & hand sanitiser outside their suite

We always receive excellent 5* feedback from our guests about the cleanliness of thesecretbnb, but because of COVID-19 we are now  putting the following in place to ensure that we are doing over and above what is required, so that you can feel confident when booking that The Turbine Suite will be a safe, comfortable and relaxing, luxurious place to stay

 Below is the cleaning regime that we will put in place until the British government tells us that we are safe from COVID-19

We will regularly check official advice from The World Health Organisation (WHO) and the British government about the safe operation of our bed and breakfast and update these procedures as and when instructed

 Normally we would clean your bathroom, empty your rubbish bins and make your bed every day

We would dust and vacuum in the common areas and scrub the entrance floors every other day

However, our new cleaning regime will ensure that we are doing all we can to protect you



  • We will wear a mask and disposable gloves & apron during the cleaning process

  • Different cleaning cloths will be used for The Turbine Suite & Main areas, and cloths will be washed at 60 degrees

  • Your room will be cleaned, first with bleach and water and then the hard surfaces will be wiped with disinfectantThe hard surfaces will include all handles (door and drawers), light switches, brass bed headboard, keys, kettle, bedside tables, dressing table, lamps, tables, arms of chairs, TV remote controller and floor in bathroom

  • All bedding, including under-sheets and under-pillowcases, will be washed at 60 degrees. Your bedding will only be handled by Juliet who will wear a mask and disposable gloves and apron when changing over The Turbine Suite. The bed will be made just before check-in to allow maximum time for airing of the bed

  • If you stay more than one night, we will ask you to leave your rubbish and breakfast tray outside your room. We will not enter your room during your stay, unless you specifically ask us to / or in case of emergency 

  • We have removed bathroom products, binoculars, local guidebooks, local interest leaflets, maps and magazines, (however, these are available to use / view if you use gloves (we will provide gloves) leaving only the Guest Information pack in The Turbine Suite, as the pages will be wiped after each visit. The Guest Information pack is also now available on our website if you do not wish to handle the one in The Turbine Suite. If you wish to be informed about local places to visit or eat etc, please do contact us before your visit, so that we can advise you via 'phone, text or email, limiting contact during your stay

  • We will wash and disinfect the hallway, the kitchen, and vacuum the stairs every day. We will disinfect the handrails of the stairs twice a day

  • Mask and disposable gloves will be worn whilst preparing and delivering your breakfast

  • All Guests crockery / cutlery / food / tea-towels / oven gloves etc are stored in a separate area, and will be placed here from the dishwasher / dryer

  • We will prepare your breakfast and bring it to your room at a time that suits you. We will simply knock on your door at an agreed time and leave your tray outside The Turbine Suite

  • We always meet our guests at check-in. We will continue to do so, but we now ask that you call us on your arrival, and we will greet you in the secure car park adhering to the social distancing measures in place. We ask you not shake hands or hug

  • 'No-Touch' hand sanitizer station is placed at the entrance of thescretbnb, and we ask all Guests to use this on entry and exit

  • We ask Guests to remove their shoes in the entrance hall. We will provide a new pair of slippers for you

  • If you feel unwell with symptoms of Coronavirus, or believe that you may have been in any areas where you could possibly have been exposed to the virus please stay at home

  • There is a full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away

  • 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in

  • No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
