Our Heritage
BRITAIN'S FIRST ECO POWERED ELECTRICITY
Built by the Victorians in 1894, Powick Mills Power Station was the first Hydro-Electric Power Station built in Europe. One of Worcester's most iconic land-mark buildings, it is now a collection of bespoke privately owned apartments.
Set astride the confluence of the river Teme, and Laughern Brook, Powick Mills overlooks Old Powick Bridge; the site of the first major cavalry engagement of the English Civil War in 1642. Re-enactments still take place on the bridge, with the Royalists still triumphant.

The Power Station is located minutes away from Junction 7 on the M5, one mile from Worcester's famous New Road cricket ground, within walking distance to two great restaurants, Cromwell's, serving Indian & Nepalese dishes, & Ego's offerings Mediterranean dining. There is easy access to the Cathedral & town centre by road, or a flat 20 minute stroll along the tow paths meandering along-side the River Severn, past The Diglis Basin and canals.

Definitely 5* luxury
Fabulous stay. Amazing hosts, kind, thoughtful and made the stay extra special. Stunning with great views and is definitely 5* luxury. Nothing was too much trouble; Gluten free cookies on arrival! These extra touches throughout the stay meant we were reluctant to leave and will definitely return

Absolutely
unique
If you like trying 'different' then this is the place for you. Absolutely unique property. Our large bedroom had several unusual features - a round window and the en-suite bathroom was superb. The continental breakfast was magnificent with plenty of choice. Juliet was a fantastic host
Amazing breakfast
Juliet was an exceptional host in her lovely home. The breakfast was amazing in the morning and myself and partner had an excellent nights sleep on the really comfy bed.
Would definitely book again if in the area and recommend to anyone

Original architecture
It was so lovely to stay in Juliet and Paul’s home. They were very accommodating and welcoming.
It is in a great location, a walk by the canal on a sunny day is beautiful.
